This video and this song is pretty cool! I’m not a massive fan of Bring Me the Horizon but the video has put me on the path to winning me over! Ha … I like!

Two mags in two months! There IS a first time for everything!

Issue 7 Cover

Easily the biggest Hardcore export this country has ever seen, Parkway Drive are back in the charts with new album Deep Blue and gracing our cover with some exclusive photos and an extensive interview about all things Parkway Drive.

We caught up with veteran metalcore pioneers Shai Hulud, while they were making their way round the country on their second Australian tour for a staggeringly honest and amazing interview – a must read to be sure. Ruiner are heaving their final death rattle and the interview in these pages (their last Australian interview ever) reveals some of the tensions and difficulties in the band.

Add to this Refused, Unearth, the infamous Michael Crafter talking about his band Confession, Sydney up-and-comers Reality, a Quickfire with Goatwhore and Canberra’s Vera, and a re-cap of the 11th Annual Hardcore Festival. There’s also an Obituary on the universally adored Fugazi, an all-Australian Bands You’ve Never Heard Of and all the usual reviews and childish banter.

AM SERIOUSLY SO EXCITED FOR THIS!

Architects image

Championed by critics, fans and peers alike as one of the finest UK metal/hardcore acts of their generation, Brighton, England quintet ARCHITECTS have got the moves and the riffs. Syncopated to a sickeningly tight level of perfection delivered with precision and absolute gut-wrenching rage, their live show is a force to be reckoned with. “Vocalist Sam Carter leaps around the stage like a man possessed, roaring, shrieking and splicing brutality with sublime melody within the space of a single song. No gimmicks here.” – Rock Metal Music

All great things have humble beginnings and COMEBACK KID is no exception. Since forming in 2002 they have turned into one of the most infectious forces in independent music today. Following the departure of Scott Wade in 2007 implementing a new vocal sound can prove disastrous for some bands but not so with the spectacular arrival of Andrew Neufeld… “embrace this new incarnation with open arms and clenched fists in the air”. – Absolute Punk

Stirring you to charge around in a circle like a maniac and clenching your fists, THIS IS HELL are genuine and uncontrived hardcore. As one of the most talked about bands on Soundwave earlier this year be sure not to miss what Punknews describes as “unrelentingly dissonant yet throat-punchingly direct, THIS IS HELL is a prime band to watch.”

A killer triple bill of potent hardcore supremacy, ARCHITECTS, COMEBACK KID and THIS IS HELL are touring Australia this December.

You should probably go to this…

40517_455760950773_103051900773_6274711_2624933_n

It’s a cheap show and ALMOST every band is awesome! Coma Lies’ new album is ruling my stereo, Marathon draw inevitable comparisons to Converge (which is a good thing!) and Fixtures is probably the most interesting band in Sydney right now (I was paid to say that…).

Seriously, good line up, good people and should be a good night!

Canada’s hardcore wunderboys, Cancer Bats, have announced that they’re performing their own, one off sideshows as a part of the offdates of their tour with Bullet For My Valentine and Bring Me The Horizon.

For Sydney kids, they’re playing the Annandale and last time that I saw them, was there like three or four years ago and it ruled! So make sure you get in quick and catch these guys at the smaller venues because you know it’s going to rule!
